Founder
Jennifer Ruth Hosek (homepage) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Queens's University, Canada. I mostly work on 20th and 21st century transnational German culture, but I needed to start LinguaeLive because I believe that it's a great opportunity for learners everywhere.

Primary Contributor
Mayu Takasaki is a Lecturer of Japanese language in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at Queen’s University, Canada. My students’ positive feedback and accelerated progress in their language skills motivates me to keep doing eTandem/telecollaboration. I believe that all level of learners benefit from this kind of communication with their peers.

Technical Guru
Andrew Stevko is an independent web architect who consults for his own Stevko Cyber Services. http://stackexchange.com/users/59334/stevko I'm currently developing mobile applications at McKesson near Silicon Valley. I do the engineering at LiLi for a pittance because I want everyone in the world to have a chance to understand each other and I think that peer communication harnessing the power of people and technology is a great way to make this happen.

Student Contributor
Samantha Ortibus is an undergraduate student majoring in English Literature and minoring in World Languages at Queen's University, Canada. As a student aspring to become an ESL teacher overseas I firmly believe that peer-to-peer communication is the best way to break down cultural barriers and fully immerse oneself in another language.

Student Contributor
Han (Heather) Sha has graduated with a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering and is currently completing her minor in Economics at Queen's University. As an international student, I realize that I am one of the few students who have the financial privilege to study abroad and to fully immerse myself in language learning. I am thrilled to be a part of the LinguaeLive team and I am hoping to facilitate language acquisition for students all around the world through this noble project.
