I mostly work on 20th and 21st century transnational German
culture, but I needed to start LinguaeLive because I believe
that it's a great opportunity for learners everywhere.

My students’ positive feedback and accelerated progress in their language
skills motivates me to keep doing eTandem/telecollaboration. I believe
that all level of learners benefit from this kind of communication with their peers.

I'm currently developing mobile applications at McKesson near Silicon Valley. I do the engineering
at LiLi for a pittance because I want everyone in the world to have a chance to understand
each other and I think that peer communication harnessing the power of people and technology is a
great way to make this happen.

Samantha Ortibus is an undergraduate student majoring in English
Literature and minoring in World Languages at Queen's University, Canada. As a student aspring to
become an ESL teacher overseas I firmly believe that peer-to-peer communication is the best way
to break down cultural barriers and fully immerse oneself in another language.

Han (Heather) Sha has graduated with a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering
and is currently completing her minor in Economics at Queen's University. As an international student, I
realize that I am one of the few students who have the financial privilege to study abroad and to fully immerse
myself in language learning. I am thrilled to be a part of the LinguaeLive team and I am hoping to facilitate language
acquisition for students all around the world through this noble project.
